Golden Greek Baseball for Sale
Before there was the Greek God of Walks, there was the Golden Greek, Harry Agganis. Harry Agganis was a Boston University Star Quarterback.  Like Gene Conley, Deion Sanders and Danny Ainge, he was talented enough to play at the highest level in two professional sports.  Agganis was offered a bonus deal with the Cleveland Browns but instead took Tom Yawkey's sweeter deal to play First Base for the Boston Red Sox.  After one year of Big League play, Agganis' career tragically ended in the early half of the 1955 Season with a pulmonary embolism.

Harry Agganis is one of those Boston athletes who will forever have attached to his name:  "He could have been amazing".  Like Len Bias, Tony Conigliaro,  all with careers sadly cut short before their prime, fans ponder, "What if...?"

This is why collectors love to collect anything related to these players.  In the case of Harry Agganis, a baseball signature is a Holy Grail Experience.  He played less than 1 1/2 years in the Majors.  How many signatures could there be?  How many in nice condition?

We just picked up a 1955 Boston Red Sox Team Signed Baseball.  It does not have Ted Williams on it but honestly, that didn't matter to us.  It has the most beautiful signature of Harry Agganis.  Bold, sharp, clean.  It just brings tears to the eyes.  It is that magnificent.

How much is a Harry Agganis Signature worth?  A Single Signed ball of Agganis sold for $1900.00 in a Hunt Auction back on October 25, 2003.  An Agganis signature on a 3" x 5" card sold for $350.00 November 29, 2007.

The ball we have acquired has 25 signatures on it.  It really is an amazing ball. For Sale at $695.00.
